The Pilates Method, developed in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates, is a system of exercises concentrated on developing and controlling the core postural muscles. Kellina studied Romana’s ( classical style ) Pilates as an apprentice at Cynthia Lochard’s Pilates Studio in 1999. At this time Kellina was working in the film industry managing the fitness and dietary requirements of actors on location. Kellina found her Pilates training was an excellent tool in her repertoire for managing body conditioning, injury prevention, stress and fatigue of her clients.
Kellina returned to Australia in 2008 and continues her teaching.
Classical Pilates is dedicated to teaching a Pilates routine following the original principals of Joseph Pilates’ method of body conditioning.
Each session runs for 55 mins and in addition to the fundamental mat work may include reformer, cadillac, chair and/or pedi-pole and barrel depending on the needs of your body.
The studio is equipped with Gratz Pilates apparatus which is acknowledged as being the best in the Pilates industry.
